This was a fantastic display of football from this young team. They started strong and kept control of the game until the final whistle. Ciaran Martin scored the first goal within 5 minutes of the game starting with a superb finish after a good run of play and great passing between the midfield players. The next five minutes was all Northend with efforts from Cal O'Brien and Connor McKillop just going over the bar and Niall Devine's shot on target being saved by the Ballymoney keeper. The Northend pressure was rewarded when Cal O'Brien's third attempt in front of the goals hit the back of the net. It was Ballymoney's turn to put on the pressure when a good run ended when their attempt at a goal was saved by Darragh Killough. The rest of the first half was all Northend  countless shots on target or just wide but at half time Northend had a comfortable lead of 5-0 after goals from Cal O'Brien, Niall Devine and Connor McKillop. Half time score 5-0

The second half was much the same as the first. Niall Devine scored another 2 giving him his hat trick, Cal O Brien also added to the goal tally to give him a hat trick plus 1. Liam Allen had a number of attempts saved before one finally hot the back of the net. Ballymoney did come back with a goal about 10 minutes before the final whistle but it was Northend who had the last goal of the game when Caolan Lennon stepped up to take a free kick which was very well placed into the top left hand corner of the net. The scoreline does not show the full picture in this game Ballymoney did make some good runs forward but were closed down quickly by the Northend defence of Sam Crawford, Caolan Lennon and Coire Mellon. Kacper Dziadkowiec and Ben Harkin also had excellent games and were first to the ball each time. When Ballymoney did get shots on target Darragh Killough was on form in goals and made a number of top class saves. Full time score11-1

Well done boys - this was not as easy a game as the scoreline would suggest - but each of you played some of your best football this season and your commitment, confidence and skill paid off.
